Terms of Service

These terms (the “Terms”) govern your use of the MyStoma mobile app and related services (the “App”), provided by Lăcătuș Cezar, a natural person (“we” or “the operator”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The App is intended for dentists, dental students and event organisers in the field. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.

2. Account and authentication

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code (OTP) sent by SMS. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and phone number secure and for activity carried out through your account. Your profile information must be accurate and current.

3. The service

The App provides access to events, news, professional communities and profiles for the dental community. We may change, suspend or discontinue features of the App at any time.

4. Informational content — not medical advice

Content in the App (news, events, materials and community discussions) is provided for professional information only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or a substitute for clinical judgment. Information about CME credits and accreditation is indicative; always verify official sources. You remain fully responsible for your clinical and professional decisions.

5. Your content

You retain rights to the content you post (posts, messages, events). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm that you have the right to post it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe the rights of others;
• post false, misleading, defamatory, unlawful or harmful content;
• impersonate others or misrepresent your professional status;
• scrape, copy or automatically harvest data from the App, including other users’ data;
• disrupt, compromise the security of, or gain unauthorised access to the App.

7. Intellectual property

The App, the “MyStoma” name and logo, and the content we provide are protected and belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal and professional purposes.

8. Third-party services and links

The App may contain links to or rely on third-party services (for example app stores). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

MyStoma is an independent app. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or approved by any company, organisation, institution or authority mentioned in the App or in these Terms, and any such mention does not imply any partnership or association with them.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms or to protect the App and its users. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

10. Limited warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information will be complete or accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Romania, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer.

13. Apple App Store

If you download the App from the App Store, the following also applies:

• these Terms are between you and the operator, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content;
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App;
• if the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation;
• the operator, not Apple, is responsible for claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual-property claims;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will indicate the “last updated” date, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
